About Treehorn Dry Cider
This is the one that started it all - our flagship variety. Made with locally grown apples juiced at season’s peak, Treehorn Dry Cider is pleasantly sweet - never cloying. A blend of cider and dessert apples for complex flavors and tannins gives Treehorn Dry Cider a tart apple and citrus aroma, a bright and lively mouthfeel, and a soft mineral finish with focused acidity.
We love to eat well, and we know you do too. Treehorn Dry pairs beautifully with food because its character is closer to a white wine than a typical domestic mass-market cider. You know the ones: they’re overpoweringly sweet, and frequently made with cheap imported concentrate to boot. Call us old-fashioned, but we think a “local” cider should be, you know, made locally. Speaking of food, Treehorn Dry Cider makes a great match for salads with berries or other fruits and nicely complements many soft cheeses. Its subtle minerality and acidity also pair well with roasted vegetables, along with savory pork and chicken dishes. The acid and light carbonation create a wonderful contrast with spicy dishes of all types. Cooking with Treehorn Cider creates depth in complexity in recipes that call for apple juice, cider or even dry wine. The same goes for cocktails that call for non-alcoholic cider, apple juice or ginger beer to add that extra depth and kick.
