At Treehorn, the safety of our staff, guests, and community is extremely important to us. We are monitoring the most recent information being provided by the CDC and WHO about the spread of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19 and are taking proactive measures to ensure the health of our Treehorn family. The tasting room has been closed since 3/16/20 for on-site consumption, and effective 3/24/20, we've moved to contactless online purchase and pickup to protect our customers and our staff as we continue to make ciders that we can (remotely) share.
Cider: Buy six packs and growlers online, and you will be notified when it's ready for contactless pickup at the cidery.
Food: Y’all need to eat, and with grocery stores packed and shelves empty, we want to support local makers in a safe environment, especially with uncertainty in farmers markets. These are people who live in our community, making awesome stuff.
We’re expanding our provisions shop of prepackaged food - local makers only. Our grocery store workers are working really hard to keep shelves stocked, but we want to not only support local food makers, but also to provide an uncrowded environment where you can pick up something special to nosh on with your immediate family while we all try to flatten the curve and not touch a single thing besides what you pick up.
We're also a farm box pickup location for our friends at Tucker Farms on Fridays.
How it works: order online here. When you get a ready order notification, call 678-503-5000 and select option one once you arrive for pickup from our patio. We’ll bring it out wearing gloves and check ID if necessary for alcohol.
How we’re keeping it safe: All prepackaged food vendors are certified to produce food by county and state health authorities. Treehorn is regulated by more agencies than you can count on a federal, state and local level, and sanitation is literally our job (you can’t make good booze without good sanitation), so we’re already used to OCD sanitation protocols.
To keep everything legal, we will still need to check your ID for any Treehorn alcohol purchases. When you call our number for patio pickup we’ll give you instruction for how to do that. We also need to stick to current state regulation of one case per day per adult (288 oz) even if it seems stupid in this time of leaving your house as little as possible.
We're hunkering down with you as much as possible while continuing to make cider. Our only full-time employee is staying home paid with health benefits intact. Only ownership is working. Most of the bartenders that have served you cider on-site have other jobs, but there’s so many people hurting in the restaurant hospitality industry — friends we’ve come to love over the years. Please continue to support your favorite local restaurant, or Giving Kitchen or United Way.
Lastly, now is a time to ask the first responder and healthcare workers in you life how you can help. As hard as this time is, we’ll come out changed and hopefully inspired about how we came together as a community. Reach out to them, because we are #inthistogether
- We have enhanced our already rigorous cleaning and sanitization schedule and will disinfect all of the most commonly touched surfaces with increased frequency using an EPA approved cleaning solution.
- Members of the public are not allowed inside the cidery. Anyone not living in the same household as our main working owners is required to maintain 6 feet of distance and wear a mask.
- As always, we expect anyone that comes to the cidery to closely self-monitor themselves and not come inside if they are sick.
- As halting the spread of disease must be a community effort, we also ask that you be mindful of the recommended preventative measures from the CDC.
- We are not filling non-Treehorn growlers, but are discounting our growler glasses if you would like a fill.
We will continue to stay up to date with the most recent information about the pandemic, and will keep you informed if there are any future changes to our policies or tasting room hours.
